I enjoyed this book very much. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in WW2 History. This give a personal account of the writers experience from Basic Training to the formation of the 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment to the Battle for Europe and fighting in Italy. It concludes with the end of the ETO VE Day. The book is written with humnor and from the soldier's point of view as a private. I have a signed copy.
