(Official Apex Reviews Rating: 4.5 Stars) In Until The Next Time, Author Assuanta Collins provides a heartbreaking look into one woman's story and the characters that surround her as she attempts to set her life right. Collins gifts the reader with a believable, strong main character, then allows us to immediately identify with her through her first-person "Dear Diary" type storytelling. Her voice will stick with you, and you'll find yourself rooting for her from the beginning. By the first chapter, Sonia will have your heart, and by the fifth you'll be intimately involved with her family and friends - a circle of acquaintances who fill her life and story with painful situations, even generations back. You'll even be able to catch the exact moment when Sonia's family crumbles. At first, every reader will be able to see themselves in Sonia or her cast of characters, but the alarming ending takes a turn for the worse that will have you gasping for air. Despite the dark, shocking ending, reading this book will bless you with the interconnectedness of Sonia's community. Highly recommended for those who are interested in life's social circles and recognize the struggle that even day-to-day life brings. Allena Tapia Apex Reviews
A Rollercoaster of a Read!

Assuanta Collins bursts onto the literary scene with her feisty and entertaining novel, Until the Next Time. This story portrays the life of Sonia Marlon, a woman who faces a crossroad in her marriage that has seemed to hit a glass ceiling. Through her diary entries, Sonia reveals her innermost thoughts and bizarre experiences. From the first page, Collins takes us on a climatic ride into the life of Sonia. Sonia is at a point in her life in which she knows that her life cannot continue on the path it is on yet she does not know which way to go. Her husband, Mark, was her first love in high school and they eloped immediately after their graduation. Despite going to separate colleges, they still managed to maintain a strong marriage. They are eventually united and have a daughter, Jasmine. It is not until Mark's basketball career is shattered from an injury and they are forced to return to the tough streets of New York City that their marriage begins to flounder. The once centered couple began to lead separate lives of their own that lead them on different life paths. While Mark decides to drown his sorrows in drugs and infidelity, Sonia takes on a "fed up with the fanny" persona that leads her down a tumultuous road of self-discovery. Snappy, fast-paced dialogues make this an amusing and enjoyable read. Collins provides a cast of characters that are animated with much personality that they seem very relatable. Many parts of the story are very dramatic and unrealistic but it makes the ride that Collins takes the reader on all the more worthwhile. By the end of this novel, I was amazed at how much drama Collins was able to put in less than 200 pages. I would definitely recommend this novel to readers who enjoy drama on top of drama on top of drama! Reviewed by Angelique APOOO BookClub

This is a wonderful book if you're looking for drama, suspense, and twists. But, you must keep up with your characters and who know who or your head will be spinning. As I finished the end of the story, I just know there has to be a sequel. And trust, I am waiting to be the first one to buy it.
