Great Author

I've enjoyed all the books I've read by this author, but this one gets five stars off the bat for keeping me in suspense about who the culprit was until the very end. In all the previous books I've read, it was too easy to figure out whodunnit -- fortunately, that's not the case in this fast-paced, can't-put-down read!

page turner extraordinaire

I read two book recently by Hunter Morgan, Unspoken Fear (2006) and Are you Scared Yet?(2007). Both are page turners with very good development of characters and a high level of suspense. They can be read independently but there is some minor plot crossover, so it is most satisfying to read the 2006 book first.

One of the best romantic suspenses I've read in years.

I am a fan of Mr. Morgan. I thought "Unspoken Fear" was terrific. I loved the book and could not guess the killer. I found the story fascinating, and I stayed up late at night to finish it. I thought the villain was terrifying, and I loved the characters. An unusually good read. This goes on my 'to keep shelf.' I liked it so well that I bought a copy as a birthday gift for a friend. I found the romance between a husband and wife attempting to save their marriage realistic and heart warming.

Great Read

This was the first of Hunter Morgan's books that I've read, and I really enjoyed it. The story is nicely written and unravels at a good pace. Noah's character is developed quite well, and you come to feel for him - even root for him. I was a little surprised by Rachel's quick acceptance of him. Even though she understood where Noah's prior actions came from, I find it hard believe that she could forgive him so quickly. You are happy for them as they get their lives back together again, especially in the midst of what is currently going on in their town. Due to the fact that Noah seems like the obvious culprit of the murders, you KNOW that it can't be him. I liked the way the murderer was revealed and how that piece of it came to an end. I'd definetly recommend the read!

Hunter Morgan Scores Another Hit

Hunter Morgan Scores Another Hit! A series of grisly crimes. A husband who has become a virtual stranger to his wife. A small town filled with shadows and secrets. And most terrifying of all, an avenger who makes his victims pay the ultimate price for their 'sins.' Master story-teller Hunter Morgan is at her intriguing best in this finely crafted romantic suspense. As always, her characters are vibrant, her attention to detail is unparalleled. As a forensic psychologist, I appreciate her keen understanding of the criminal mind, her insights into psychopathic behavior. She explores the strange delusions, the eerie 'command hallucinations' that can invade a fragile mind, triggering acts of shocking brutality. She lays bare psychopathy in such a way that makes it completely believable and compelling to the reader. Don't miss her latest sizzling tale of suspense. Also recommended: Be sure to read She'll Never Tell, She'll Never Know and She'll Never Live by Hunter Morgan.
