About the Author -
Riju Vashisht Bhatia is an award winning creator and educator, the author earned first place in the global "Discover India contest by IBEF, Department of Commerce, India, with several of her recipes published in their official book, "Discover India". As a recipe developer, she has worked for international food brands. NDTV Food, Bruite Magazine, and other platforms have featured her content. Her journey also spans cultural and educational initiatives, contributing to Modernotsav, connecting children with their cultural roots, reviving traditional folk embroidery in school clubs, and guiding IB students through meaningful CAS projects.
A mother of two boys, now 20 and 26, who studied in universities overseas, she has personally experienced the emotional and practical challenges families face during this transition. Her instinct to teach has taken her from the classrooms of the Bachpan Foundation (India), where she taught science to underprivileged children, to volunteering for art sessions for children of determination (Dubai).
Driven by the desire to prepare young adults for real life, she conducts culinary workshops, teaches essential cooking skills, and imparts etiquette training to empower students to step into university life with confidence and competence
