Unmasking myself, accepting my wrongs in life, reflecting on the right has been the most enlightening and influential points of my life. Understanding that trying to maintain a positive attitude at a times made me feel like half a soul denying that the darkness was inside me. Unable to ignore myself and the feelings of incompleteness any longer I dared to face my fears digging deep into my insecurities. I learned the mask I wore was built in those insecurities, my conclusion was simple and obvious once I grew courage enough to face myself. Nothing in this world could harm me unless I allowed it, as well as nobody can be hurt by me unless I do it.

I've been good that was easily admitted but I also have been bad something we all share; the good uplifting and refreshing is comforting to the ego. Many won't accept the bad they do simply because it drags us into the darkness of our lives an understandable fear, I experienced that very fear, I based this book of poetry on the emotions behind it. My only intention is to express these confusing and often challenging truths that I had to accept to feel whole in who I am. Balance is the key to unlocking the bindings on the mask, fully understanding who we are making our life complete.
