A Hawaiin Experience

Unlucky Star is the remarkable story of the last of the Royal Hawaiin Monarchy as seen through the eyes of the Princess Kaiulani. Born into the tumultuous time of occupation, Kauilani witnesses the loss of Hawaiin lands and culture and the greed of American and Japanese entrepeneurs. The characters draw you into their lives. I couldn't put it down.

A great princess story

I didn't know much about Hawaii a hundred years ago until I read this book. This is a story that everyone needs to read to really understand what happended and why. Pamela is a masterful story teller who helps you really know and understand Princess Kaiulani and her unlucky life.
