3.5 stars.
I didn't know this book was when I bought it, and unfortunately I have to say it wasn't really worth it. Pretty much the whole thing is just extra information for fun such as elven recipes, info on the different animals and characters etc. I thought it was kinda weird though that it's all stuff we've already learned in previous books. There wasn't any new revelations or groundbreaking details we didn't already know.
There is some pictures of Keefe's memory "sketches" and we get to read Keefe's gold journal thing that was mentioned in the previous book which was cute. The actual novel part was pretty short, maybe 300 pages? The reason I'm rating it so high, is because I really liked having Keefe's point of view.
I'm really feeling like this series is wayyy longer than it should have been. I don't really know what the main characters are trying to do anymore. Like they always say "we need to figure this out" and "what's the plan?" And I'm just wondering what it is they're trying to figure out and make a plan for.
I also don't care about Sophie at all, unfortunately. She has no real personality, and it just flat, boring and seems to be too focused on the "important stuff" for a teen girl. There should have been more of a focus on personal stuff throughout the books just to bring realism. More like the first couple books where she was actually friends with her friends instead of just coworkers.
