Very good, tho brief notes, about U of I

I bought the guide for my nephew who will be entering U of I this fall (2008). I read most of it, and found it helpful, easy to read, and important in that it addressed unpleasant issues such as drugs and campus safety in a matter-of-fact way. In places, it could have offered some more detail, but the short chapters will appeal to busy students (and their parents).

Quick and Helpful Read

The College Prowler series always publishes great guidebooks, and this bigger and better version for the University of Illinois is no exception. Everything has been expanded, which leaves more room for student quotes and important facts that you need to know. They have also added new sections that cover everything from the night life to every dorm on campus. If you want to be entertained and learn about your possible college choice, this is the book for you. Do not just depend on what college PR people tell you in their tours and their books, as they just want to bring you into their school. College Prowler has no such agenda and therefore their books give the only unbiased and honest opinion around. Do not waste thousands of dollars on tuition only to discover that you hate the college you chose. Instead, read this book to find out what's really going on at U of I. Some of it is great, and some of it isn't, but it's up to you to find that information out. Luckily, this book makes it easy and amusing.
