The present research entitled "University education and its relationship with economic growth: empirical evidence of the Peruvian case, 2000 - 2017" was of quantitative type, with non-experimental and longitudinal design, also the scope of the research was correlational; the general objective was posed as: To establish the relationship between university education and Peruvian economic growth, 2000-2017, for which the population was formed by the statistical data of university students, university investment per student; GDP per capita university, entered average by university career, the sample is equal to the population; for the collection of information the technique of documentary analysis was used and as an instrument the documentary record matrix was applied; the data collected were processed using the Eviews 8.1 program considering the procedures indicated in the protocol of econometrics. The following conclusions were reached: In Peru university education positively influences economic growth.
