Farran was raised by her stepfather after her mother abandoned her at the age of 13. When her stepfather's aunt passed away and disinherited him and his daughter, Farran stepped in to fix it. Stallard was the one who ended up with the inheritance, and his negotiation for relinquishing his rights involved Farran caring for his father's former mistress. There are some lol moments, spice that can be skipped, and a satisfying end.
