Unfriendly Friends

In January 2019, a Pastor friend invited me to speak to the residents of his community. As I prayed and meditated on what message to share, the importance of human relationships strongly impressed itself upon my spirit, especially as it was the beginning of a new year. As I pondered further, one theme stood out vividly Unfriendly Friends.

With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I prepared for the program, and by God's grace, it was a rewarding experience. However, even after the meeting, the theme Unfriendly Friends remained deeply impressed on my heart. I took time to study the subject further, which eventually led to the writing of this book.

Many people have become victims of toxic friendships. Some have found themselves in precarious situations due to deceitful friends who pretended to be genuine. There are friends who are mistaken for allies but, in reality, are backstabbers.

While some people's lives have been richly blessed through good friendships, others have suffered great harm due to bad ones. Unfriendly Friends serves as a guide to help readers cultivate healthy, rewarding relationships while also learning how to manage toxic ones. This book outlines practical steps to take when dealing with difficult friendships.

Above all, Jesus is the ultimate friend, the best companion anyone can have. There is no friend like Him. He alone fully understands the essence of true friendship and, in His sovereign wisdom, provides guidance on how to navigate relationships with others. The best decision anyone can make is to not only accept Jesus as a friend but to make Him the best friend of their life.
