Unfinished

By T.J. Donnelly

Unfinished is a novel retelling of Aiden Croft's 1960s-70s coming of age and beyond. This story offers a generous helping of firsts-first love, first heartbreak, first spiritual path, first sex, first war, first death. The firsts keep on coming in a mix of humorous, poignant, and adventurous events. As Aiden experiences his life evolving, he comes to appreciate that many of these firsts are also bests. He embraces the years spent developing into an extraordinary, knowledge-hungry artist. His desire to create images that are always on the edge sends him into perilous situations others would want to avoid. Along the way Aiden begins to understand the absurdity of the human condition and adopts an existential philosophy that allows him to appreciate the chaos. In the end, the power of the human spirit provides the hope needed for a more perfect world.
