Billy Brocks-an ex-Las Vegas criminal defense lawyer is in a race against time. He barely escapes death's grip while bedding a young prostitute named Ada Sanchez in a motel room in downtown Phoenix. She abandons her lifestyle of prostitution and goes with Billy back to Las Vegas with hopes of a better life, but her dreams are shattered in the blink of an eye.
