Unencumbered

Unencumbered, defined as being without burden is my first published book. It is a compilation of eighteen poems that depicts the highs and lows of relationships. This book is my story to the world. For the most part I would like to assume that everyone has experienced love. But to what degree? Unencumbered zooms in on the beginning stages of a relationship, it's foundation, and transitions to that of the ending of it. Encounters and actions that took precedence in the midst of a love that was destined to fail, two people who had hoped for so long that they could overcome and break down barriers just couldn't seem to grasp on any longer. So here lies two people who have mutually decided to separate and moving on towards different endeavors. In their journey to finding themselves one person seems to have more difficulty with the breakup. This leads to a conquest of her own questioning what went wrong in their relationship, an immense amount of guilt and regret, and trying to rediscover her own self identity once again. Once she realizes that it begins with forgiveness she then becomes "Unencumbered".
