Resilience, resilience...As a little girl, Earth-Shameenah's experiences were unlike any that we'd want our own daughters to endure. Her life consisted of mountains she'd need to overcome. Some of these include an unstable relationship with her mother, molestation by her own father, teen pregnancy not once but twice, divorce, negative belief systems, and lack of self-worth, just to name a few.
To make a change in her life, she had to dig deep in the garden, which was her heart, deeper into the soil of her past, and face roots that ran far and wide but not deep enough to provide stability and foundation. She had to pull the weeds which masked the beauty of her garden within, because mistaking weeds for grass wasn't going to work this time. She began to unearth things that made her face herself and the ones who contributed to her pain. Earth-Shameenah did the much deeper internal work of demolishing traumas, renewing her mind, and adjusting how she showed up in the world. She realized that how she planted her feet on the terrain of this earth, would change the game for how she overturned the mindset of Earth, herself. This is the uncovering and rediscovering, UNEARTHED. She is Earth
