Dr. Jeanine Rogers always had a dream, since she was a little girl. She dreamed of a new world, she dreamed of a new life, she dreamed of fame, fortune, and bliss. She dreamed to be on top of the world. She now runs her own bioengineering company and works for herself. But she is still haunted by troubles from her past.

Polly, a man from the Heavens, approaches Jeanine, sent to the Earth on a mission by his people. He is young and sometimes reckless, searching for adventure, redemption, even praise.

Although the two do not get along at the beginning, Polly is able to learn a bit more about Jeanine and move her towards his goal, perhaps even unknowingly exploiting Jeanine's past traumas. Their paths become unextricably linked, as they move toward a shaky and uncertain future, where they become players in a much larger game.
