Highly recommended

Securities Regulation is one of the hardest courses in law school, not least because it requires close reading of highly technical statutes. Unfortunately, there are relatively few well-done guides to securities law. Steinberg's text is one of the best--if not the best. He combines detailed textual review of major concepts with extensive references to both primary and secondary sources. As such, practicing securities lawyers will also find it a useful source of precedents.
