Walking through a forest can inspire one to think of many things more than just nature. In my walks I've thought of the past: successes, disappointments, failures, longings, and lost loves. I think of the present: how things are now, how little there is about nature that we can control, and how people are always as they have been: steeped in sin but with the potential for great good and great discovery. But I pray that never on any such stroll will I forget all that has been given to me; all I did not deserve but was allowed to enjoy. Such is the stuff of life itself for anyone. In these poems I seek to capture that and offer it back again.
