Undergraduate Student Research on Current Public Issues in Qatar

This book is prepared to encourage and introduce undergraduate students to the basic empirical research methodologies. It is composed of a collection of research studies conducted during Fall 2019 and Spring 2020, by undergraduate students at Qatar University . As a part of First Year Seminar course, students worked in small groups and examined current issues related to Qatari community, which increased their awareness of societal problems, highlighted their role as active citizens and prepared them for a responsible life. Moreover, throughout the research work, students gained fundamental research skills including conducting literature review, doing in-text citation, developing survey, and writing references. The target audiences are college students, faculty members, and researchers.
