Under the Shadows of Translucent Leaves

Where are such hopes addressed to? Who receives the prayers of those who fear and suffer? And who is able to hear our thoughts as we close our eyes and feel our hearts squeezing? For those who believe, in God is the recipient of their supplications, even though they resort to intermediary figures in the celestial hierarchy. If the preaches are met, causality between faith and grace is noted, which in some cases even reaches the category of miracle. For Jesus assured that nothing the son asked of the father would be denied. But it is absolutely necessary that faith be true, exempted from doubts, in order that divine intervention takes place. To doubt is to believe in the possibility of not being granted the blessings, which, as a logical consequence, implies not believing in the omnipotence and benevolence of God. Thus, the afflicted pleas not being answered, justification can be found in supplicant's fragile faith - which, strictly speaking, is not faith, as has already been concluded. Divine omission can also be explained by the low merit of the request - after all, not everything is deserving the drastic suspension of the laws of physics or the manipulation of biological phenomena - or the existence of mysterious and inapprehensible reasons for the modest intelligence of mortals, understood only by God, who writes straight by crooked lines. As for those who do not believe, if they cannot avail themselves in science, hopes are focused on being freed from Chance, this blind and shameless demon, " the devil in the street in the middle of the whirlwind", croupier of the existence, the Unknown that makes victims randomly, without discretion and without warning. For as the devil himself noted in Bulg?kov's words, human mortality is only half the misfortune; "The trouble is that mortality sometimes comes to him so suddenly".
