Under a Carolina Moon
Under a Carolina Moon
On the sun-washed shores of Carolina Beach's boardwalk, aunt-and-niece duo Linda and Juliet Kight run Trinkets & Treasures, an antique store steeped in memory, coastal charm, and the shimmering hues of Linda's handcrafted sea glass jewelry. When they're not helping customers find forgotten treasures, they host The Knight Shift, a podcast exploring local legends and long-buried secrets.
This Fourth of July weekend, the tide pulls in more than tourists. Linda witnesses a ghostly figure at the shoreline, and when local teen Noah reveals he's seen the same woman, they both begin to suspect she's one of the twin sisters lost to a decades-old disappearance that still echoes through the town.
Soon, faded polaroids, aged cocktail napkins, and cryptic letters start arriving, each thread tugging Linda and Juliet deeper into a story where memory resists silence. A silver locket may hold the truth-but it's the growing bond between Juliet and a newly assigned deputy, and the quiet yearning of a sheriff who's carried feelings for Linda across the years, that color the investigation with poignant tension.
With Linda's irresistible Southernisms lighting the way, and their two feline companions adding mischief and warmth, Under a Carolina Moon is a tale of longing, mystery, and the kind of love that doesn't fade with time-it waits in the shadows until the moment is right.
