Happiness your own way

I could have sworn that I already reviewed this book but it seems I haven't. I read the draft of this novel and fell in love with the smooth flow of the storyline. The main character Abby, dealing with her life's choices shows that any woman can make up her mind how she wants to live her life and stay on track, finding happiness in her own way The strong yet subtle way the author shows the importance of preventative health care, weaved in with a tale of regular people dealing with jealousies and other issues was outstanding. I enjoy AC's books anyway, because she writes with the same calm air in which she speaks and she's always a pleasure to both talk to as well as read.

*****5 Stars! Unconditional by A.C. Arthur is "Magnificent work!"

Abby (Abigail Swanson), a 28 year old virgin, is living her dreams and on her way to owning a fashion desigining business in her latest breathtaking romance novel, "Unconditional." She seems to have no intention of ever getting married and vicariously lives her life through her happily married sister, Tammy, who makes her more envious when she births a bundle of joy. Abby realizes something is missing from her life and she inwardly craves to find a man to share her dreams. It's every successful single woman's tale. The unexpected happens when she rekindles nuances with Dr. Mason Penny who is asked to be the godfather of her sister's child. She dates him, but soon finds out she is harboring a deadly disease that could jeapardize their relationship. She discovers she has a malign tumor in hr breast and may have to undergo a lumpectomy. It doesn't help that Mason becomes entangled with feelings of doubt and seems scared to commit to Abigail. He's also on the verge of opening his own practice which frightens Abigail's prospects of him holding onto their relationship so she fights every step with self-sympathetic behavior. However, something very strange and well, unconditional, happens that most readers would never expect as Abigail is losing her hair, undergoing surgery, looking quite unattractive these days and just an emotional mess. Yes, it's a love story of tolerance and forgiveness that is a tear jerker for those feel the pain and suffering of Abigail who is a true champion to stand up to ther disease. There are even moments of pivotal and unsuspecting twists like when Mason's mother challenges his integrity upon having a child out of wedlock with another lady named Theresa. We all know how most men will marry their baby's mama to save face with condescending family members. Sometimes this is all it takes to break up a relationship. Meanwhile, it looks like Abigail might as well just give up in life, but what happens will amaze you. Unconditional is every woman's dream come true that symbolizes that "all in love is fair" when love is Unconditional. The title of this fine masterpiece speaks for itself and will take a humbling heart who cares about the condition of relationships turning out for the better to understand the historical relevance of a book of this nature by A.C. Arthur. Unconditional is a masterful masterpiece no young lovers should miss. It is truly a relationship building book. A.C. Arthur has carved a niche in the genre of Romance and Drama all her own and quite amazing.

Unconditional

As we evolve from childhood to adulthood, we have a tendency to plan the life that we think we are going to want and have. It is not until the reality of life itself smacks you down that you begin to realize that you are just a participant in this game and that you really have no control over what tomorrow might bring. Unconditional is about a woman who has decided her life at a young age, only to discover that there are no plans set in stone. Abigail Swanson, goes from wanting to be a successful career woman with no husband and definitely no children, to experiencing jealousy because her sister has all of the things that she vowed to never have or want. i.e. kids, husband and the white picket fence. Dr. Mason Penney, the devastatingly handsome doctor, whose mild manner and confidence eases his way into Abigail's heart and bed. Mason sets out to have an affair with Abigail, that would last only until he returned to Boston. Somehow during this brief strictly physical affair, Mason and Abigail fall in love and all is wonderful, until Abigail discovers a lump. With the discovery of this lump, Abigail also discovers how important relationships and families are to a person going through this experience. She also discovers that with the right amount of love and support that you can get through anything, including cancer. Ms. Arthur does a superb job at transitioning you through the various stages and emotions that Abigail and her entire family deals with as she fights this awful disease. The characters in this novel are lively, comical and most of all real. People have a tendency to stay away from books about cancer and other diseases because they are generally felt to be morbid and sad. This novel was the exact opposite. I laughed and I cried but most of all I enjoyed. Kudo's Ms. Arthur for bringing your readers a story that was not only entertaining, but educational as well.
