Things aren't going well for Gordon Nagel. After losing his job and getting evicted from his apartment, he moves into his uncle's house, which comes with its own set of problems. Strange noises at night, a rodent infestation, and a persistent smell are just some of the issues Gordon must face.

And there's that terrible secret in the cellar.

Desperate to leave his failing life behind, Gordon tries to make the house livable until he can save enough money to fund his escape. But he's drinking more than ever and spending his limited savings on house repairs and alcohol.

Haunted by guilt and the presence that may or may not be lurking around the house, Gordon cannot escape his past. Excessive drinking and a fragile hold on reality only make matters worse. Despite his efforts, Gordon may never leave Uncle Milton's house.
