Jake is a curmudgeon. Ask anyone. He has been running his music store for some forty years, at first with his wife and then by himself after her death. Lately, business has become increasingly slow. What with the big chain stores and the convenience of the internet, the times are pretty lean for Uncle Jake's Music Store.Things turn up when he begins to listen to the voice of Clara, his wife, who now resides in an urn. More ideas come from several employees, who are more interested in growing the business than in their paychecks. Throw in weekly jam sessions and an open house with enticements, and there is a new spirit in the store. But all is not good. The store is visited by arsonists. Add to that the kidnapping of an employee's granddaughter and there is suffering. But from it all, a viable store, a blessing to the community, emerges and with it an amazing transformation from curmudgeon to... Maybe that's going too far. I'll leave it to you decide.
