Race Cars & Romance

If you are looking for something different then look no farther as this is definitely an adventure. From the exquisite cover to the details of racing in 1905 you will be fascinated. A female driver was not readily accepted in this time period so to break the barriers to race was certainly difficult, but Flora is definitely up to the task as a strong willed female. Racing was difficult over treacherous roads and made even more so with wearing a dress and hat to maintain your femininity in uncertain conditions. Both Flora and her mechanic have suffered a significant loss that they blame themselves for but over the road course God will work on them and you can witness the transformation. I found this book to be informative as well as delightful. I loved the interaction between characters and found it believable and like I had ridden along with them. This is book one in the Adventurous Hearts series and I look forward to more. Very entertaining and interesting. I received a complimentary copy from CelebrateLit.
