It was the driving force behind writing this book and it is my sincere hope that it finds its way to a reader that needs it as much as I did when I was growing up. This is a modern-day coming of age story. A story about growing up in the '90s, growing up male, navigating relationships, hormones, and mental illness all the while figuring out one's identity in a world that was set in its ways long before you were born. It is raw and real, and at times uncomfortably honest. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will unlock the emotions you reserve for your dearest friends. At the end of the book, the main character feels not like a distant person, but like a friend. At the very least, it leaves you with a sense of hope after punching you in the heart a few times.
