Unacknowledged is the story of Callie Faulkner, a gifted engineer who works for Zephyr Watkins, a large defense contractor in Washington, DC. Over the past 15 years Callie has risen to become NEWT's Deputy Director, but when she is abruptly dismissed from this powerful role, her life is thrown into disarray. Believing she has been betrayed, but with no real leads, she begins to investigate and, despite being stonewalled by friends and former colleagues, she uncovers a far deeper conspiracy than she could have anticipated, bringing to light old traumas and threatening to explode into violence.
