A young married couple, in a new city, are exploring their growing love for one another. Living in an apartment, both are working full time as they share day to day challenges. She has a change in employment and they decide to enjoy a secret weekend trip, finally celebrating their honeymoon almost a year late. He ignores that he is battling a cold, and struggles to be happy until his sickness ends their trip early. After returning home and to work, things seem normal until a devastating illness befalls him. They are both challenged on his road to recovery. She undergoes growth and transformation on his journey back to health, but it becomes apparent that things may not be as easy as they had hoped.
