A naval Academy grad, an F/A-18 Hornet pilot, this hometown boy disappeared with his instructor pilot for thirteen months. He missed his July 4th wedding and his family's search and his commitment to serving both God and country. Yet in the ensuing seventeen years, his story has been and continues to be duplicated daily in our war games around the world. Don't miss out on this old, yet strangely relevant story. Recommended for families whose beloved ones have also "disappeared" while serving their country. Reads like fiction, but grips like the truth that it is. Mike's Mission continues if he touches you.

The book is so well written by Martha Chamberlain that it is most often not laid down until it is finished. For parents who have lost a child, it is very helpful in grief recovery. For parents of teens, have your teenage boy (or girl) read this book for a role model and challenge to be all he/she can become. Exciting reading for all who love flying! You will identify with Mike's writing of his flying experiences.
This book is about a role model for everyone--mike.
