This is the story of my first-ever trip overseas and has something for everyone. During its arduous composition, I realized that many Black Americans, who were raised in the post-World War II twentieth century, (like me) were not encouraged to get passports and travel overseas. I think that maybe the government thought many of us would not return because of the extreme segregation and racist policies of that era. My parents never suggested that I, their oldest and only son, obtain my passport! It was not until one particular Slavic lady discovered me Online, as the object of her desire, that I wanted to travel away from the USA to meet her on her legendary turf. This book chronicles the love story that brought me to that point and my impressions traveling to Kiev, Ukraine, what went wrong and how I turned it into a bit of a fun, learning experience for myself with teaching moments for other similar people who may follow in my footsteps.
