"'Two Thousand Miles from Omaha'" will appeal to readers who enjoy books that examine the quest for fulfillment...The characters are exceptionally well-developed, and the traveling aspect provides a sense of adventure. The writing style is immersive, reminiscent of John Green's books. I could easily see S.D. Goldman's "Two Thousand Miles from Omaha" on the big screen."

Ryan Collins is isolated. A thousand miles from friends or family, his days are spent working while his nights are shared with women whose names he won't remember, all in an attempt to drown reminders of a past prison sentence and the cynical love he abandoned years ago. Now, as he closes in on thirty, he finds his life uplifted by a career promotion and the addition of a new romantic interest. Ryan believes that these changes will lead to a life free from his past grief, but isn't long before his idyllic life becomes upended. Faced with the return of his past love, and a growingly unstable present, Ryan must decide if he can face the true root cause of his anguish, or risk losing everything he's ever loved.

Hailed as a "clear and satisfying voice" (IBPA's Benjamin Franklin Awards) S.D.
