Two Minutes with Jesus: 365 Daily Devotions on Walking with Christ

By Barry L Davis

What if the most important two minutes of your day were spent listening to Jesus?

When the crowds walked away, Jesus turned to His closest friends and asked if they would leave too. Peter answered for every disciple since: "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life."

Two Minutes with Jesus is built on those words. Every day of the year begins with something Jesus Himself said in the Gospels: an invitation, a promise, a command, a question. Each saying is followed by a brief, warm reflection that explains what He meant and shows how it applies to ordinary life, plus a "Follow" question to carry with you through the day.

From the shores of Galilee to the empty tomb, you'll walk with Jesus through a full year of discipleship:

January: Hearing His call to "Follow me"February: Abiding in His loveMarch: Learning to prayApril: The cross and the empty tombMay: The heart of His kingdomJune: Loving one anotherJuly: Choosing faith over fearAugust: Hearing and doing His WordSeptember: The cost and the call of discipleshipOctober: Rest, peace, and hopeNovember: Gratitude and generosityDecember: Why He came

No saying is repeated. Where the same words appear in more than one Gospel, one telling has been chosen, so by the end of the year you will have heard from your Lord 365 different times.
