TWIXT AND MIDST
This book stands between things.
Between dust and breath.
Between lands sharp enough to cut thought
and lands soft enough to steady it.
Between the child who first touched earth
and the adult who learned to walk
on its edges.
Xinjiang gives the hard line-
steel sky, drifting sand, a silence that keeps its distance.
Bhutan gives the soft line-
thin air, quiet steps, a warmth held just enough to feel.
Childhood gives the low beginning-
a house without corners,
a yard that learned each footstep,
a path that led outward long before the body followed.
And the sea-
on the day it rose without warning-

the moment when the world
lost its order
and kept only what memory could carry.
