In the third book of the American history cluster, Jack and Annie are whisked to a midwestern prairie in the 1870s. They visit a one-room schoolhouse and learn about the hard life of the pioneers. When they return to the magic tree house, Jack and Annie spot a twister on the horizon. Is there time to warn the teacher and the children back at the schoolhouse? Or should Jack and Annie just save themselves?

I liked it and I think you should read it too. This book is interesting because it had a twister in it. And when that happened they went through a door in the school. Read this book to find out what happens next.
Super Curious Cubbies Loved Twisters on Tuesday

Our class liked learning about living in the days of the pioneers. We learned a lot of new vocabulary words like dugout, billowed, horizon, vanish, hovered, scowl and rippling. If you read this book you will also learn that people aren't always how they seem. We saw that with Jeb, the school boy, who didn't know how to read.
The Greatest Book Ever!

I am an eight year old girl and I loved this book. It was funny in places and scary when Jack and Anne almost got caught in the twister. I would love to read all the books!
...couldn't put it down

A great mix of historic information and action to keep kids interested. My seven year old and I took turns reading chapters in this book. He was afraid to, at first, because there were a couple words he didn't know; however, the story grabbed his interest so much that he couldn't put the book down and wouldn't let me, either. We finished it in two days, and now he wants to read all the Magic Tree House books we've missed. He's always loved to read but this book series is taking him to a new level of reading and a new desire to read. Thanks to the author!
Three Of The Best!!!!

I believe that Civil War On Sunday, Revolutionary War on Wednesday, and Twister on Tuesday are THE best three Magic Tree House books. While they are all good, these three stand alone (I can't wait for Camelot!). Perfect for first graders to third graders!!!The blend of fact and fiction makes for great read alouds in the classroom and great springboards for studying historical topics!!SUPERB!!!
