I first came across Jessica Zafra's books with movie reviews in the National Bookstore in Cebu City. I love this woman's work. She may write the very best movie reviews with some serious content in the world, and certainly the funniest and most sarcastic. Just read it!

She'll twist your guts

Jessie, I know she hates to be called that but she's just ahumorous woman that inspiringly makes her unforgettable. A veryprolific writer and very witty I should say. As a fanatic, I havecollected all of her books including her album and it was pure fun andI mean fun having those collections read again. Everyone must own allher books she deserves praise actually from all her works... I'manticipating her next book. I bet it will be another blast for her. Ilearned a lot from her and me and my friend Nikka would just sit andremember some of her lines..."Even Vilma Santos farts." Wejust can't help but explode into laughter. She can be highfalutin butshe is appropriately highfalutin and I love her. Love her. Loveher. She's the best author I've ever read and now my mission is tomeet her. I tried to but I lost the opportunity. It's not only Twistedthat's funny, everything(Spawn of Twisted, Womenagerie, Planet of theTwisted, Chicken Pox for the Soul, Manananggal Terrorizes Manila,Twisted Menace, Twisted spoken-word album and her Twisted column)is. You should read her work.

Zafra's wit and eloquence is entertaining

This book is not a novel. It just contains certain articles from Zafra's weekly column in a certain Philippine newspaper. This book gives you a glimpse of her funny and witty side. She rants about anything and everthing from movie stars to existential angst but with a certain flair. This gal really knows how to express what's on her mind but boy is she fun to read.
