Twinbane: An Appalling True History

By Geraldine Durrant

TWINBANE is the appalling true history of magician Septimus Goodfellow as pieced together from his diary and other lost possessions. Abandoned on the steps of a vicarage as a baby, Septimus grows up to be an adept of the Dark Arts. A Master of Magic with a private fortune, he is determined to rule the world: but his vile plotting starts to go wrong when he accidentally conjures a vicious hell-hound bent on his destruction. Driven back to England to escape its vengeful jaws, Septimus impersonates a parson while he puts the finishing touches to his plan to summon Merlin from the Great Beyond in furtherance of his ambitions. But the twins he kidnaps to help him have other ideas: and in a terrifying climax on top of the church tower it is not Merlin who appears but someone altogether more surprising... A fast-paced and funny page-turner from the author of Pirate Gran and Pirate Gran Goes for Gold...
