Too slow and boring

Slow and not on the edge of your seat interesting. Boring and more of a romance novel than a mystery murder novel.

I couldn't put it down

Thane Walker and Maggie Riley were in love when her twin sister Mary Theresa pretended to be her twin and tricked Thane into sleeping with her, then MT passed over another man's child as his to trick him into marrying her. Years later, Mary-Theresa has disappeared and Thane shows up on Maggie's doorstep, wanting her to help him out because the police suspect him to having something to do with his ex-wife, Mary-Theresa's disappearance. As Thane and Maggie try to unravel the mystery of MT's disappearance, they try to resist that love that has never died between them while at the same time feeling they can't trust the other. While the mystery of the malevolent Mary-Theresa keeps you guessing, it's ultimate a satisfying love story of two people who were cruelly torn apart but who have never stopped loving each other. And in the end, true love finally wins.

A compelling read...

Maggie McCrae retreated to Idaho with her thirteen year old daughter after the death of her husband. With the guilt she felt over his death, Maggie was barely coping, and she also had her daughter, Becca's hostility to deal with. When she gets one of the rare 'messages' from her twin Mary Theresa nee Marquise, she knows something is wrong. For only at times when Mary Theresa is in the most distress is she able to talk to Maggie through her mind. The only thing that sticks is that she blames her ex-husband, and Maggie's one time love.Thane Walker has his own agenda, and he doesn't care what he has to do to accomplish it. When his vindictive ex-wife dissapears after dropping a bombshell on him, he knows that it's probably nothing more than a stunt for publicity. When the police suspect him of being responsible for her dissaperance, he decides to go to Maggie, the only woman he's ever loved.Twice Kissed is a very emotional tale which started almost twenty years earlier. With jealousy and betrayal the key, Thane and Maggie race to find out what happened to Marquise while both dealing with trust issues. I really enjoy all of Jackson's books as she puts so much emotion into them, you can't help but be sucked right in.

Good Characterization

This is the first book I have read by this author. She develops her characters well and the plot was more complex than many romantic thrillers. She certainly understood the teenage mind and some thoughts expressed by the teenage daughter are funny. I can recommend this book and will read others by this author.

Twice Kissed, Twice deceived

Lisa Jackson knows how to develop her characters. Maggie is searching for her twin sister with the help of a man she has loved almost her whole life who also happens to be her sister's ex-husband. As Maggie and Thane search for Marquise the twin sister, Maggie and Thane learn together how deceitful her sister is. They rekindle a love lost and go on a dangerous journey to learn the truth.
