What could typical teenager Terry Turner (Lee Wilde) and genius prodigy Stephanie Hale (Lyn Wilde) have in common? Plenty -- they're identical twins! Separated after the divorce of their parents -- gruff newspaperman Jeff Turner (Preston Foster) and jet-set intellect Mary Hale (Gail Patrick) -- the girls have been raised under vastly different rules. Reunited as teens, with each envying the other's lifestyle, the girls swap identities for a chance to walk in each other's shoes. With their new identities come new adventures and disasters. Stephanie (as Terry) enters the National Knowledge Contest in a bid to reunite their parents. Terry (as Stephanie) finds herself falling for her twin's boyfriend (Jimmy Lydon), while Stephanie finds herself falling for Terry's (Marshall Thompson). And then there's the small matter of Jeff's girlfriend blackmailing him to marry her!
