The paintings are like a war of the colors and shapes I use. Each battling for its space on the canvas. Choosing them is constantly changing the lines of battle, for the eyes to absorb the heat or coolness of the colors. Pushing the cool colors forward, when the science of colors says they should recede. Likewise, having the warm colors recede into the background when they should float to the surface. The shapes are quite another battle, in combination with the color theory of movement. The shapes become linear directional movement. Forcing the eyes to direct the colors' spacial movement.
