This short story collection is about students in eighth grade through high school and the first year of college. The topics include peer pressure, making new friends and going on several adventures. Several stories tell about neurodivergent students Sylvia and Mark finding their path in their school settings. Teen pregnancy is mentioned in the "Diaper Debacle" and in another story, a suburban girl deals with subtle racism and challenges herself to confront it. Gifted and talented students Elias and Molly experience different problems in school, but also learn very differently. Tom has to deal with extreme bullying in his new school. In another story, suicide is briefly addressed with no graphic details involving a family dealing with economic recession and job loss. Finally, Milly finds a new friend volunteering at a local animal shelter. Suitable for ages in middle grades through high school and above. Ages 12-18+ (a few mild swear words)
