Wonderful Book

I love the warning on this book. It says, "Warning: This book may cause environmental awareness." It's true. It is a great book to teach toddlers, preschoolers and beyond about sea turtles and the challenges they face. The adults reading this book to them will learn from the experience as well. Turtles' Way: Loggy, Greeny & Leather tells of the life cycles of loggerhead, green, and leatherback sea turtles. The book follows these three loveable turtles through the nesting process, and it follows their hatchlings to their ocean environments. All three species are endangered. Through the book, children will learn ways they can help preserve sea turtles and their environments. Mara Uman Hixon has written an excellent book that is sure to attract and keep the attention of children through her charming characters: Loggy, Greeny and Leather. And artist Steve J. Harris has captured Loggy, Greeny and Leather in their environments in vivid detail. The book is a visual delight. I highly recommend this book to parents and teachers who will find the supplemental information in the back of the book helpful in answering the persistent questions of the little ones. Fantastic book for kids of all ages!

I just love this book! It takes you on an exciting adventure with three different turtles of the sea as they come to shore to lay their eggs! The artwork is simply gorgeous! The way the author has written the book is so enjoyable! Highly recommended for your book collection ~ a book that you will read time and time again!
