Poor Turtle Tom He had just been reunited with his friend; yet again, he was being taken away. Tom was placed in a glass bowl and put in the back of a truck. The other creatures in the truck were not happy to see a turtle in a bowl. Through the darkness, Turtle Tom could see thick claws and big jaws. Tom was headed to a strange and unusual place. He was alone and he was scared. Turtle Tom wondered where he would end up next. Turtle Tom arrives at the zoo. Does a turtle belong at the zoo? Tom sees a large door with the words ZOO on it. Turtle Tom wonders what is behind that door. Perhaps his family is back there. A kind woman opens the door and Turtle Tom is about to discover something new.
