Is it child molestation if you don't know her exact age?

Jerzey Rabideaux is a beautiful fifteen-year-old girl who has learned from her drunken, openly promiscuous mother how to seduce men. Her mother is also jealous of Jerzey's beauty and frequently beats her severely in drunken rages. Even though her mother keeps warning her that some day she is going to go too far, Jerzey still practices her art of seduction. She never goes all the way - just far enough to get favors from the men, such as new clothes or jewelry. One day, her father Parlee Rabideaux, decides he has had enough of his promiscuous wife, and he runs to Atlanta, Georgia from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana where the family lives. Fearing her sadistic mother's beatings, Jerzey sets off after him. She is not prepared for the big city and finds herself starving on the streets. After Jerzey breaks into a parking meter for the change, Judge Carter Caine comes upon her scrabbling on her knees, retrieving coins. Jerzey tells him she found it that way and wants to give the money to the proper authorities. The good judge takes her into the police station and backs up her story. He then puts her up in a nice hotel. Has Jerzey finally gone too far? Things spiral downward from there. The judge's wife and son become involved as well as the family's good friends, Ralph Light, a lawyer, and his chubby but beautiful daughter, Carney. Even Parlee Rabideaux shows up. Revenge is the word of the day. Jimmy Hurd has created an exceptional story of deception, abuse, sex and suspense in TURNAROUND. The tension keeps you turning the pages, while indignation keeps you talking to yourself. How stupid is that judge? What will his spoiled son do next? Is Carney really that naïve? Will Jerzey survive all the madness and be the sweet little girl she really is again? There are some unexpected twists that make the story fascinating and take it out of the realm of the ordinary suspense story. It is well worth reading. I can't believe Mr. Hurd has not been discovered before Turnaround. The style and character development is wonderfully entertaining. Thank goodness this is part one of a trilogy, as I can't wait for the next book, Ice Dancer. A great book for reading while curled up in front of the fire.
Good suspense

I really enjoyed Jimmy Hurd's first novel. Good twists, turns, and suspense. I also enjoyed the colloquialism- since I live in the south and have visited many of the places in the book. Nice character development and just an overall entertaining story.
