Finding, reading and using Terry's methods and tools described in this book is like uncovering the Hope diamond from a piece of coal. In other words invaluable. The book is easy to read and understand. Everyone should read it and apply the concepts..for they can be used to help you clarify and reach any goal whether that includes the implementation of a new software package or to retire early.

This book offers a great system that allows you to clarify any project in your mind and with your team. It will help you realize all your assumptions and uncover any blind spots you have. It also allows you to realize success through indentifying key success measures.

Simple, Yet Powerful Strategic Tools

This book attracted me because I had often felt frustrated trying to plan and implement projects. Terry's book impressed me with it's simple, yet powerful four strategic questions and logical framework approach. This is the first system I have seen that gets above the activity level and focuses my attention on the project goals and measures and assumptions. This approach helped me to sharpen my strategy and turn it into action! I immediately began applying Terry's four steps to an ambitious educational project I had been thinking about for a long time. A clear plan unfolded in my mind as I walked through the if-then logic of what I wanted to accomplish, why, and how. The concept of a "strategic hypothesis" was new to me, and makes so much sense. I even felt relief as these concepts helped me to logically clarify my goal, purpose, outcomes, and inputs, along with measures and assumptions. Now I understand how various parts of a project come together in a systematic fashion, and have a solid first draft plan that captures my own vision for the project. I am prepared to communicate my vision more clearly to a stakeholder team, and we will use this tool to create a shared vision. I cannot imagine doing a personal or professional project without Terry's tools!
