This book is a testament of the timeless truth that national liberation, justice and peace are won, not through the barrel of the gun, but through the power of prayer. When the people unite and cry out to God on their knees with hands lifted up in helpless surrender to God, then God will hear their cry, have mercy on them, and deliver them. This is what He did to the children of Israel under the tyranny of king Pharaoh. He can still do it again. King David, the ruler after God's own heart, says: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God" (Psalm 20:7).
