These are the stories of a young girl?s experiences as a nurse in London during World War II trying to live a normal life despite the horrors all around her. There were tears and fears while helping the injured and bringing comfort to the dying and their families as German bombs dropped all around. There were also humorous incidents as she worked with difficult patients and high spirits as she enjoyed time off with fellow nurses. Dances in London and meetings with friends and service men from around the world helped her to briefly forget the horrors of war.
