Book Overview

Tunnel of Light & Dark Pt II- Hidden Messages" is a continuation of my first poetry book "Tunnel of Light & Dark". It is a deeper dive into childhood and teenage memories, and many moments that have impacted me that were not in the first book. I felt that it was important for me to write some of previous experiences from a different view point and from a more experienced age. Writing as an adult has helped me be even more authentic without holding back. When I was younger I would tend to write in the moment just to get things off my chest, and as an adult I am able to think things through more while writing. Having more thought during the process has helped my poetry be more creative and strong. I think that will help the reader feel more of the emotions I felt while writing. I have laughed, cried, felt frustrated, and more empathetic while writing this book. I am confident that the reader will be able to relate to my experiences on some level. I also hope that if they ever find themselves in a dark tunnel, that my book will inspire them to keep marching through it.
