Slasher in New York

Bob Ottum's THE TUESDAY BLADE is detective fiction at its best and one of the early ones. Gloria-Ann Cooper arrives in New York with high hopes and big dreams. She is abducted, drugged, and constantly raped. The first time she was gang raped was when she was ten years old and living in a rural community in OK. She was able to extract her revenge with impunity because everyone even children understood the unwritten rules that govern society. In NY she recovers her senses and grabs the first weapon she can find for vengeance. But NY isn't OK and it is called murder. The reader always knows the killer and it is up to Detective Antonio DeMario to bring her to justice. A good story; well told with a surprise ending. Nash Black, author of SINS OF THE FATHERS.

One of the best books ever I've ever read

I read this book back when I was a teen and loved it. It made it's way through family members and a list of friends. I still have it today, but alas, with all the passing around, pages are missing. I couldn't believe my luck when I googled and found this site and this book. I am now in my late 40's and I am looking forward to reading it again, and once again sharing with my family, my daughter-in-law can't wait for the book as I have told her parts I still remember. I also read Fern Michael's sisterhood books and enjoy them thoroughly, but none have been as good as the Tuesday blade. Well worth the buy and the read. ..........Kim

Great Book!

I read this book years ago when it was first published. I loved it. I haven't read a book since that kept me turning page after page and was hard to put down. There is a series of books called the sisterhood that were really good that kind of reminded me of this one. Can't remember the author.I didn't even believe that a book this old would be still around. I don't have my copy anymore. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a very good read.

I was looking through my mother's book collection when a title caught my eye. "The Tuesday Blade." The cover was interesting and the blurb sounded good enough so I chose to read it. It was a choice I would never forget. I was hooked from the first page. Every spare minute I had was a chance to dig deeper into the world that was "The Tuesday Blade." I was mesmerized by Gloria-Ann Cooper and the way that she saw the world. It is now two years since I first read this book and I still haven't forgotten the way this book made me feel.
