TTQX Auto Racks

TTX initialed TTQX cars were low-level vehicular flats with tri-level auto racks installed. The racks were taller, reaching to a maximum 20'2" height. The purpose was to have racks that were capable of carrying large vehicles (full-size pick-ups, SUVs, vans etc) on two levels and small cars on one level. Alternatively, the racks could be return loaded with three decks of small cars. This publication does not suggest that all TTQX flats are listed. However, this is the first publication that brings together a list of known TTQX numbers from publicly available sources. It is believed that at least 95% of the TTQX cars are included in this list. Most of the car numbers and rack information were compiled from personal field observation.
