Try Kindness

At the age of fifty-two, I became convinced of God's enormous Love for me, and began my true walk with Him after decades of lostness since I had accepted His gift of Salvation as a seven-year-old. Those years of childhood abuse, homelessness, prostitution, drug and alcohol abuse/addiction and more were not wasted after all - they all informed my new life as a Christ-follower. I am called to be a missionary to the homeless community. That is my beauty for ashes.

I wrote 'Try Kindness' to share my insights from working and volunteering at homeless shelters and in the camps, and to celebrate the awesome changes that God has brought in me. I hope this book will help shed some light on a world that society tends to misunderstand. Maybe my words will help equip those who feel inadequate to share Jesus' love with the homeless/addicted because they haven't been there themselves. I pray that 'Try Kindness' will help grow compassion for our fellow humans who are dying on our streets.
